Feder, Gottfried (1883-1941) After studying engineering, he began to take interest in economic theory. In 1919, he joined the precursor to the Nazi Party. Hitler heard Feder orating and wrote in Mein Kampf that this speech provided him with a basis for the establishment of the new party. Feder became the Nazi Party's ideologue and co-authored its platform. As time passed, however, Hitler abandoned his radical line that sought to fight manufacturers and financiers. Consequently, Feder became a marginal figure in the years preceding and following the accession.
